A warm welcome to 2021

After 2020 being a year like no other Carer KaFÉ would like to welcome everyone into a new year full of many more exciting learning and development opportunities to come for our Victorian carers.

Kicking off the year with  Nikara’s Journey followed by Carers Building Solutions and Love of Learning, 2021 will see a comeback of our most popular sessions as well as some new sessions on a range of interesting and relevant topics. Carer KaFÉ is also liaising with key child development/literacy professionals to bring to the 2021 calendar a suite of presentations we know our carers will enjoy and benefit from!

In response to current ‘COVID Normal’ times, our training will remain as interactive online sessions to be reviewed in March 2021.  Hence the Carer KaFÉ training calendar will be released month by month via our ‘What’s on in February…’ and not in the usual annual format.

As we plan the year ahead stay engaged with our many online training resources including the Care to Share Podcast Series created by Foster Care Association of Victoria, as well as Indigenous Cultural Awareness Training and Fostering Resilience with Michael Place. You can explore these resources by clicking HERE!

We look forward to getting to know new carers, welcoming back returning carers, and everyone in-between as we support and connect with one and another to best care for the children in out of home care in 2021 and beyond.

Don’t forget to sign up to our mailing list to keep up to date with the latest Carer KaFÉ information, as well as like and follow us on Facebook to see what’s coming up!
