Fostering Resilience - Youth Edition (Online)

"It is easier to build strong children than repair broken men" ~ Frederic Douglas

Building on this quote, Fostering Resilience maintains that specific interventions can help to foster resilient behaviours and attitudes, leading to much better outcomes during and after the care experience.

In this short course, Resilience Coach Michael Place, shares his personal experiences of being a young person in care and how he used evidence-based resilient strategies to cope and manage his wellbeing. Carers will learn how to recognize and promote resilient behavior in their young people and get an opportunity to write their very own "Fostering Resilience Action Plan."
