Maggie Dent Webinar - From the Sandpit to Adulthood

Helping Today’s Children to Thrive: 10 keys to raising children & teens who flourish

Join Maggie Dent, parenting author, educator former teacher and counsellor, for one of her most popular webinars, which is packed full of common sense and inspiration for parents and communities raising children throughout their childhoods and adolescence.

Every parent wants their children, tweens and teens to thrive – to grow up happy, healthy, strong, kind, resilient and capable of realising their full potential.

Our task has been made even more challenging by the busy pace of life today and the stresses and pressures that come with that. Then the parenting landscape is overloaded with information – some incredibly wise and helpful and some very problematic. From toddlers to teens and beyond they are feeling the impact – and this was happening even before the global pandemic!

In this inspirational webinar, Maggie will explore the 10 keys to supporting your children to grow well.

This is not about raising kids to be “perfect”, but rather Maggie shows us how challenge, adversity and failure can actually help our kids and teens to grow stronger and smarter.

In this session, Maggie explores:

* Why we’re concerned about today’s children, tweens and teens
* What babies and young children really need
* Key strategies for soothing stressed brains at any age
* Self-regulation as a key to succeeding at school and in life
* The power of the puddle and the sandpit (why nature matters for little kids and big kids)
* Play and its link to resilience, connectedness (and just about everything else)
* The key building blocks of resilience
* What our teens really need and how to nurture their potential
* The simple key to making a positive difference every day.

The webinar runs for approximately 1.5 hours including a Q&A at the end. You can watch it, whenever suits you! An audio-only version is also be available for those who prefer to listen to the content.
