PEAK BODIES’ RESOURCES

There are valuable resources available on these peak bodies’ websites which contain lots of useful information for home-based carers:

FOSTER CARE ASSOCATION OF VICTORIA

The Foster Care Association of Victoria (FCAV) is the peak body for Victorian foster carers. For over 30 years, the FCAV as a carer-led, not-for-profit organisation, has been working towards better outcomes for foster carers and the children and young people in their care.

KINSHIP CARERS VICTORIA

Kinship Carers Victoria’s (KCV) aim is to have kinship carers in Victoria supported in their role according to their needs and the needs of the children they care for. Engage with their interactive guide for kinship carers below.

PERMANENT CARE & ADOPTIVE FAMILIES

At PCA Families, their purpose is to support permanent care, kinship care and adoptive families to help their children to thrive. They believe that well supported families lead to stronger children.
