Victorian Aboriginal Child Care Agency (VACCA) and Carer KaFE invite Aborignal carers and kinship and foster carers caring for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander children to a retreat at Phillip Island.

This overnight retreat will provide a culturally rich and relaxing night away on the traditional lands of the Bunurong people. Come along and immerse yourselves in cultural story telling, art and activities in a fun and culturally safe environment.

During this retreat you will:

  • Be personally Welcomed to Country
  • Stay in your own apartment style accommodation
  • Take part in cultural walks and learn the significance of the country for Aboriginal people
  • Participate in self care activities
  • Listen to Aboriginal musicians
  • Deepen your connection with Aboriginal culture and people from the local community

There will be fun activities for kids which will be run throughout the camp. Gift bags will be provided to every carer. This retreat includes one night accommodation and meals.

Terms and Conditions:

One registration per person. If you are registering as a couple please ensure you do two applications.

If you have won a spot to attend the camp you will receive a confirmation email on 27th May 2019.

Carers who have previously been on a retreat, camp or conference will be placed on a waitlist.

Accommodation and meals will be paid and provided for on the camp.
