Join other Kinship and Foster Carers in your community for a two-day workshop to discuss the challenges and rewards of being a Carer in a safe, non-judgemental setting.

The two days will include arts-based activities on Country, and separate men’s and women’s yarning circles, where we will yarn about issues that are important to support you in your role as a Carer.

Some of the topics are:

Understanding the challenges of being a carer

  • Understanding the responsibilities of being a Carer
  • Facing the challenges when values and beliefs don’t align
  • Impact of stress when caring for kids
  • Understanding the importance of Cultural Safety as Carers

Building resilience

  • What type of Carer do you want to be?
  • What prevents you from being the best Carer you can be?
  • How can you be supported to be the best Carer you can be?

We will document the two days on video to capture your ideas for helping other Carers in their role.
