This session focuses on the intergenerational trauma of family violence and how it impacts children’s and young people’s development and behaviour.

Carers will learn:

• what constitutes family violence, legal definitions, indicators, current statistics, findings from the Royal Commission
• the impact of Family Violence on children and young people from a neurobiological perspective
• childrens emotional and behavioural responses  following exposure to Family Violence, which may persist even once children are safe
