Looking for some inspiration with ‘home-schooling’ during Covid lockdown…

Join other carers in this session outlining typical language development, common features of developmental language disorder, the links between oral language development and reading, and ways to support children’s language and literacy skills.

This session is specific for secondary school age children.

Presented by: Professor Pamela Snow, School of Education, La Trobe university (Bendigo)

Pamela Snow is the Professor of Cognitive Psychology in the School of Education at La Trobe University (located at the Bendigo campus). She is both a speech-language pathologist and registered psychologist and her research interests concern language and literacy skills in vulnerable children and adolescents as well as using effective early reading instruction to give all children a strong start at school. In 2020, Pamela established, with her La Trobe colleague, Associate Professor Tanya Serry, the Science of Language & Reading Lab to promote effective reading instruction and support in schools.
