Spend a Sunday with Carer KaFÉ and other carers in a relaxed setting and hear about parenting & behaviour strategies.

Morning tea & lunch will be provided.  

We will be running one learning & development session for carers: 

10.30am - 12.30pm - How To Talk So Kids Will Listen and Listen So Kids Will Talk

This session will explore the following skills:

• The ‘Killers’ of Communications
• Attending….’yes… I am ready to listen’
• Empathy ….is more than “I know how you feel”
• Asking effective questions so you will get more than just a ‘yes’, ‘no’, ‘dunno’ answer!!

Participants will be introduced to the skills and provided an opportunity to practice these skills.

Please note: Carer KaFÉ can cover the cost of babysitting while you attend a Carer KaFÉ training session.  You need to organise for an approved babysitter via your agency.  This needs to be organised and approved by Carer KaFÉ at least one week prior to the training session.  Financial support for carers is also available for transport / travel.
