Spend a Sunday with Carer KaFÉ and other carers in a relaxed setting and hear from speakers on key topics such as carer wellbeing and parenting & behaviour strategies.

Morning tea & lunch will be provided.  

We will be running two learning & development sessions for carers: 

10.30am - 12.30pm - Navigating Support - NDIS, Medicare and Support Services

This session will focus on understanding the available supports under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), Medicare programs and other private or government services, and the ways in which carers can access these supports for the children or young people in their care.

1pm - 3pm - Restoring the Balance of Care

This program provides trauma informed support and intervention to carers of children & young people, with a strong focus on carer wellbeing.

Presented by: Kathryn Eberly and Lainie Terbogt from Restoring Families. Restoring Families.  Kathryn and Lainie are Therapeutic Consultants with specialised qualifications & experience in Therapeutic Care, Developmental Trauma and Family Therapy.

Please note that Carer KaFÉ can cover the cost of babysitting while you attend a Carer KaFÉ training session.  You need to organise for an approved babysitter via your agency.  This needs to be organised and approved by Carer KaFÉ at least one week prior to the training session. Onsite childcare may be able to be provided and financial support for carers is available for transport / travel (please contact Carer KaFÉ directly to discuss: This email address is being protected from spambots.
