2023 FKAT Conference Tasmania

With gratitude, we extend our appreciation to each one of you who registered your interest to attend the Foster and Kinship Carers National Conference. This event is scheduled to take place from September 21st to 24th amidst the beautiful state of Tasmania.

We sincerely apologise for the slight delay in announcing the outcomes of your application. The response we received was overwhelming, with over 120 applications flooding in from carers across the state.

The task of selecting the final attendees was indeed challenging. With only 36 spots available, and a diverse group of foster, kinship, and permanent carers applying, the selection process was challenging. After careful deliberation, we are pleased to announce that the selection has been completed, and the final list of attendees has been notified.

We would like to extend sincere thanks to the Foster Care Association of Victoria (FCAV), Kinship Carers Victoria (KCV), Permanent Care and Adoptive Families (PCA Families), and the Victorian Aboriginal Child Care Agency (VACCA) for their support in this process.

To all those who submitted an Expression of Interest (EOI), we want to express our gratitude. For those who may not have secured a spot this time, we encourage you to keep an eye on our Facebook page and stay engaged with our community. There will be upcoming events, training sessions, and retreat opportunities that you can participate in.

We are eagerly looking forward to seeing you at the Foster and Kinship Carers National Conference in Tasmania. The journey ahead promises to be enlightening, inspiring, and impactful.

Warm regards,

The Carer KaFE Team.
